The Five Essential Stages of Business Analysis & Modelling
In the integrated model, there are five different stages of business analysis and modeling:
The collection of information
Analysis and Evaluation
Modeling
Comments
The implementation
All these steps must be followed, regardless of whether you are the modeling of business objects with 5 employees, 5,000 employees and 25,000 employees.
One might think that all these steps are unnecessary and seem to many, especially for a company with only 5 employees! No, if you want high quality results for the first time every time!
In large projects and organizations, the steps are different phases of the project. In small companies, they must as steps in the idea that you need to spend a happy ending to be considered. You do not last long, but they should do.
Always begin with the collection of information. Not attempted, especially in a small company is to “dive” directly into the modeling and to start, what makes the company straight.
Collection of information is essential to identify the persons or other sources within the company that you can say:
That the company should do.
The order in which it needs to be done.
The information required to do so.
If the above points when you through the remaining steps (in order, and no jumping!) Go to achieve high quality results and the response time of the first right, every time!
I tested this in all sizes of businesses from 5 to 30, 000 and they worked – every time!
In my next article I will guide you step by step through the efficient collection of information, including:
The use of existing documents.
Implementation of strategic discussions.
Performance modeling workshops.
These methods are not mutually exclusive! Be used in a well-run any of them as appropriate.
